A little history...
The story of LS Mutual began in 1874 when a fraternal benefit society called L’Union Saint-Joseph de Saint-Hyacinthe was founded.
On April 8, 1938, the fraternal benefits society became a mutual insurance company called La Survivance, compagnie mutuelle d'assurance vie. At the 2007 general assembly, La Survivance adopted its new corporate name in English: LS Mutual Life Insurance Company. Over the years, LS Mutual has stayed true to the primary mission of L'Union Saint-Joseph de Saint-Hyacinthe: to protect its insured members and their families against life’s unexpected events.
