LS Mutual steps up to its social responsibility by supporting community well-being with financial contributions.
LS Mutual is as committed to participating in community life as it is to serving its insureds. Every year, the Company supports a range of projects in health, education, youth, arts and culture.
Culture
LS Mutual made a $50,000 contribution to the fundraising campaign for a new performing arts centre in Saint-Hyacinthe (Centre des arts Juliette-Lassonde). The goal of the campaign was to help the city build a quality centre to celebrate artists and the performing arts.
Education
For many years, LS Mutual has supported the French-language Accountability and Management and Business Management programs at the CÉGEP de Saint-Hyacinthe. The Company also funds a scholarship program for students with outstanding performances during the weeks promoting Professional Conduct held every spring and fall.
LS Mutual also provides financial support to several youth organizations active in education and sports.
Health and Well-Being
LS Mutual participates in the fundraising campaigns of various Québec hospitals and foundations. The Company is particularly committed to the foundation for the Centre hospitalier Honoré-Mercier in Saint-Hyacinthe; in the past few years, it has contributed almost $60,000 to the foundation.
Every fall, LS Mutual makes a significant contribution to Centraide (the United Way) and participates actively in the annual campaign of its employees. The Company is proud to be associated with Centraide, whose mission is to unite, develop and redistribute resources to volunteer partners that can best respond to the needs of society’s most vulnerable members.Donations of close to $30,000 have been made to Centraide in the past few years.
LS Mutual also supports a number of humanitarian organizations that work in different areas providing assistance to people with special needs.
